3 Circuit Programming guide for D7 Pro pods on a Cansmart/Ezcan

D7 Pro Pods with CANsmart / ezCAN - How-To Guide

Overview

This guide explains how to wire and program D7 Pro Pods using three circuits on a CANsmart/ezCAN system. The fourth circuit is reserved for a B6 Brake Light or B6 Dual Brake Light.

Quick Software Import Option

1.   Download the provided configuration file to your computer.
2. Open the CANsmart Software.
3. Click 'Import' in the top-right menu.
4. Select the downloaded file and click 'Open'.
5. The software will refresh and match the configuration outlined below.

Wiring & Circuit Configuration

1.      Red Circuit (Left Light 2): Connect the Left D7 Pro Pod's Center Flood Beam (shorter pigtail). Set fuse to 5 Amps.

2.      Blue Circuit (Right Light 2): Connect the Right D7 Pro Pod's Center Flood Beam (shorter pigtail). Set fuse to 5 Amps.

3.     Yellow Circuit (Brake Light): Connect the B6 Brake Light using the brake light adapter. Set fuse to 2 Amps.

4.      White Circuit (Light Pair 1): Connect BOTH D7 Pro Pod Outer Spot Beams (longer pigtails) using a splitter. Set fuse to 15 Amps.

Turn Signal Setting Adjustment

Locate the setting labeled 'Off when turn signal active'.
Change 'Off' to 'Flash'.
Confirm the setting now reads 'Flash when turn signal active' and is enabled.

Setting Electronic Fuses

1.    Open CANsmart/ezCAN Software.
2. Navigate to each circuit configuration.
3. Set fuse values by right clicking on the Fuse value below the icon then choosing from the dropdown.
4. Save settings and verify proper operation.

Notes

- Ensure all wiring is secure before powering the system.
- Double-check fuse ratings before use.
- Test all lighting functions after installation.
